Frequently Asked Questions By Aspiring Agents

Is this a 100% commission-based career. Will there be any basic salary?

This is a 100% commission-based career. There is no basic salary. In this way, you will be driven to succeed!

How much can I potentially earn?

The sky the limit! It is possible to earn six-digit figures in a year if you adopted the right strategies and lots of hard work. On another extreme. You could be scoring zero sales and throw in the towel as soon as you get in. That is the sad reality.

I plan to work part-time. I’m semi-retired, a full-time homemaker, or retired. Can I still join?

Absolutely. Real estate is a highly flexible career where you manage your own time. I welcome part-timers, retirees, full-time homemakers, retrenched individuals, and fresh graduates. I’ll tailor the training and level of support according to your availability and goals.

I’m always sceptical about sales jobs. Can this really be a career?

Sales is never an easy career. It demands strong mental resilience and emotional strength to last. That said, real estate sales can be highly rewarding if you approach it seriously and treat it as a long-term profession. Many have built successful careers this way. If you never try, you’ll never know. However, this must be viewed as a career, not just a “job.” If you’re only looking for a job with certainty and comfort, this industry may not be the right fit.

I do not have any past sales experiences. Can I still do sales?

Yes, you can. Sales is a skill that can be learned. I started off without any sale experiences anyway. But it was a steep learning curve. I have to be frank with you. Here, if I can do it. So can you!

Can I practise as a part-time agent while holding a full-time job?

It depends. As long as your HR department or immediate supervisor approves, you may practise as a part-time agent. It’s always best to seek their consent first. However, if you’re employed in the government or a statutory board, it will be good to check with your HR first.

feeling uncertain?

Experiences Agent

Are you an experience agent but feeling lost despite having spent many years in the industry? Are you lacking the support and sensing that your manager is not invested in your success? Are you looking for a breakthrough in your sales performance? Are you considering leaving your current company, or even the industry itself!

Why Experience Agents Failed?

Lack of hunger to succeed

Some agents simply aren’t driven. They lack the determination and urgency to build a career, treating real estate as “just another job” rather than a business that requires commitment.

Lack of resilience and perseverance

Many new RES give up too soon. Success in this industry requires enduring setbacks, staying consistent, and persevering over the long haul.

No genuine interest in property or sales

Without true interest or passion, motivation fades quickly. If you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, burnout is inevitable—and your performance will suffer.

Insufficient training and skill upgrading

The property industry is constantly evolving. Agents who fail to continuously upgrade their skills eventually fall behind. Staying relevant requires ongoing learning and adaptation.

Poor self-discipline

Real estate offers flexibility, but without structure, many agents lose focus. Some turn to part-time work. Over time, daily income feels more rewarding than building their business.

Lack of the right mentorship

The right mentor can make a significant difference. A good leader guides, supports, and actively grooms their team. Poor mentorship is a common reason many RES eventually drop out.
